Yahoo CEO (Scott Thompson) Plan to Quit – Over Fabricated Resume
Yahoo CEO Scott Thompson will step down after his embellished resume sparked an outcry from shareholders, according to multiple reports.
Thompson could leave the company as soon as tomorrow, replaced in the interim by Ross Levinsohn, the company’s global head of media, DealBook reports.
Thompson has come under fire for mentions on his resume and in regulatory filings of a computer science degree he never received.
The Journal reported that Yahoo Inc.’s board will meet Sunday to accept the resignation and appoint the company’ global media head, Ross Levinsohn, as interim CEO and to select new directors and a new chairman.
